Nigeria has been in a state of virtual unrest. However, one country that has had its fair share of crisis in USA. Despite the health workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens have taken to the street to protest the death of American, George Floyd. This is a well-deserved protest following the harsh conditions Blacks have been subjected to in the country.

In view of the unrest, Sony decided to postpone the PS5 unveiling event scheduled on June 4, with Sony on Twitter saying “We do not feel that right now is a time for celebration. And for now, we stand back and allow more important voices to be heard”. There is, however, no news on the new date for the PS5 event.

The protest in the US has been long coming, with police brutality continually reported without justice being given. Just as we are experiencing in Nigeria.

Different global brands have taken to their social handles, condemning the killings, and in support of #BlackLivesMatter. These tweets have also be quoted and replied by their competitors, as this is the time humanity needs to come together to fight the common enemy called – racism.
