The 25th movie of the James Bond franchise is coming up soon, and there was a debate on whether the role should be played by a man this time, or a woman.
Pierce Brosnan had played the 007 role through the movies, from “Golden eye” to “Die Another Day” (this was epic). In an interview with Hollywood reporter, he claimed he is in support of the idea of having a woman play the role.
He said, “I think we have watched guys do it for the past 40 years. Get out of the way guys, put a woman up there. I think it would be exhilarating, It would be exciting”
The 25th movie is No time to Die, and there were rumors that Lashana Lynch could take up the role. This was rumored in the wake of the #MeToo movement which has somewhat criticized the franchise. The criticism is geared towards how the franchise treats the women feature of the movies.
There are various issues in the movies with regards to women, especially the sexual innuendos.
Well, the #MeToo movement tried to hammer so much on this fact, but the producers decided. The 25th movie of James Bond is “No Time To Die” and Daniel Craig is the one to star in the movie. The movie is due for release on April 3, 2020.
