#Brown_Skin_Girl_Challenge: Did Wizkid Just elevate the feeling of self-worth in African Ladies?

While many would keep on with the argument that WIzkid didn’t write the Brown Skin Girl song, I don’t think that is worthy of debate. But, one thing is sure, the song made “Brown-skinned girls” have a bit more of self-worth and self-value.

Just Because I like the jacket in this picture

Post-release of the Lion King album which featured numerous artistes of the African origin, the Brown Skin Girl track on which Wizkid was featured received the most hype. Personally, I must say, the song is on point, with Wizzy killing the feeling of the lyrics.

The lyrics of the song, on closer look, is one that places more value on the nature of the African lady, and fans are loving it. Where else to get to know the reactions of Nigerians, if not on Twitter. To mention is also the window of opportunity that Wizkid faves had to shade Davido for not being on such album that seems to show the African glory. Technically, it is also safe to say that the “Wizkid didn’t write the song” shade must have been a retaliation.

Whatever it might be, Brown Skin Girl is an excellent song that even guys enjoy. It’s not just raising the pride of ladies in their skin, it’s making them love and appreciate the fact that they are Africans. That’s the most important thing.

Meanwhile, the Brown Skin Challenge went on, on Twitter, here. Just for seeing sake.

My momma gave me light golden brown skin & kinky, coily hair. I’ve never been ashamed of it or embarrassed by my wide nose, full lips because she also gave me something even more important:

Confidence & self love.

It’s my inside that shines brightest!
