Recently, a woman from China, miss Chen woke up one morning and discovered she couldn’t hear her boyfriend who is directly opposite her talking.
She was rushed to the hospital where her attending physician, Dr. Lin Xiaoqing who is also a female noticed she couldn’t her other nearby male doctors talking.
“She was able to hear me when I spoke to her, but when a young male patient walked in, she couldn’t hear him at all,” she reported in Daily Mail.
She told her doctor her the symptoms she noticed night before the incident, nauseous, ringing in her ears (tinnitus) and also vomiting were her noted symptoms. She was later diagnosed to had RSHL, Reverse-Slope Hearing Loss.
RSHL is a rare disease that occur to one person out of 1200 with hearing problems. She is expected to make a quick recovery since the symptoms were treated earlier.
