Since November 28, 2018, Microsoft held the No.1 position of the most valuable company in the world until Monday morning when Amazon the runner up snatched the position and sit atop Microsoft.
Amazon is now the most valuable company in the world with market capitalization of $797 billion. Amazon share is now around $1,629.51 per share, a gigantic rose of about 3.5 per cent in stock on Monday.
Microsoft, Amazon and has been struggling for the best most valuable company in the world after years of dominance by Apple. Microsoft surpassed Apple for the first time in November after eight years.
Google parent, Alphabet who has also participated in the dog fight now with market capitalization of about $748 billion snatched the third position away from Apple who is now down to about $792 billion.
Only time will tell how long these companies especially Amazon, will maintain their current position/title.
