Lady gaga today on her Twitter handle apologized to fans for collaborating with R. Kelly.
The duo work together on a song titled ‘Do what you want (with my body)’, also performed the song together at the American Music Awards in 2013.
R. Kelly whose career is tinted with sexual abuse and lots of critics, also it has been revealed, again, due to the release of Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly.
Lady gaga apologized for her naiveness and decides to remove the song (Do what you want) from all streaming platform, iTunes included, she wrote, “I’m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner. I love you”
“As a victim of sexual assault myself, I made both the song and video at a dark time in my life, my intention was to create something extremely defiant and provocative because I was angry and still hadn’t processed the trauma that had occurred in my own life.”
“I stand behind these women 1000%, believe them, know they are suffering and in pain, and feel strongly that their voices should be heard and taken seriously,” she wrote.
She promised her fans, vowed to never and ever work with R. Kelly and affirmed her support for his accusers.
