Manchester United gives update on the health status of Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Alex Ferguson, legendary former head coach of Manchester United suffered brain hemorrhage last week and was rushed to the Manchester United health facility.  A surgery was performed on him, and he was put in coma to ensure recovery.

The football world was thrown into sadness at the news, as all major football clubs took to social media (Twitter Especially) to identify with the icon.

Earlier this week, it was reported by the hospital that he had sat up and was talking to family and friends, but the media was still restricted from access into his ward.

As of some minutes ago, the official handle of Manchester United football club (United for life) tweeted that the icon has been subjected to intensive care and his rehabilitation will have to continue, and also conveyed the gratitude of his family for all the love that was showered on him

Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient.

His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery. pic.twitter.com/7AFFspsaj7
