Masterpiece; Poetry On Christmas – The valour of Christmas

    The Valour of Christmas

In the dark skies above, shines the glowing star
A symbol of beauty, directions it gave from afar
Twinkling as it led to the manger
To the baby Jesus, wherein he linger

The small and yellow flower of the poinsettia
Shining brightly like the stars of Bethlehem
Surrounded by bright red leaves, the wind as a stir
With the Christmas season, it stood as an emblem

Stockings hung, waiting for Santa, this dark winter night,
The Fir tree outside, glowing with the beauty of the starlight
Candles lit, serene at the feet of the tree
Soon, it will be midnight and Santa would be free

The plain white peppermint stick, made into the candy cane
The bells ringing, in their red and golden colour
The glistening freshly fallen snow, on the moonlight brightened lane
Lights all around, finally, Christmas is here in all its valour
