Whoever started this fight should forever be worshipped in Nigeria, even if the #EndSARS war is lost, which i don’t think will happen. The war against the Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS) has taken a new turn in both Lagos and Port Harcourt, as youths have trooped out in their little numbers to voice out the pains and agony that this special Unit of the Nigerian Police Force has caused the citizens.
In case you don’t know, the #EndSARS campaign stayed in top trend on Twitter for the whole of last week and a week prior.
Nigerians shared their various experiences in the hands of the so called friends of the people, how they have been battered and extorted on baseless grounds. Do you know that if you walk on some SARS ridden streets, with your laptop in your hand and a dope phone, you will be considered a Yahoo+ guy? Such is their modus operandi.
The campaign trended and all, with the Nigeria Police trying to tweet against it, but, they were mere dogs barking at Nigerians with a resolute mind. Nigeria Stars like Falz, tweeted in support of the #EndSARS campaign, even potential Presidential candidate for 2019, Atiku, tweeted in support. What was disheartning was the fact that neither of the first citizens of Nigeria, in persons of Buhari and Osinbajo tweeted about it. No reaction whatsoever.
But, Nigerians aren’t giving up, as they took to roads with placards to make their voice heard in the major cities of Lagos and Port Harcourt. It might be a small protest, but it could be the beginning of a huge revolution in the Nigeria Police Force.

These tells us that we don’t need to be powerful to clamour and eventually effect a change. We would keep pushing till #EndSARS comes to a realisation, and the SARS brutality is finally ended. Join the campaign. #EndSARS
